  VERNER PANTON What was to become heralded as the first single piece molded chair, the S-chair was actually based on an earlier design by Poul Kjaerholm, which was prototyped in wire and papier-mache in 1953. This early S-chair was made in the design's 6th year of production, and was manufactured by Herman Miller in glossy gel-coated injection-molded plastic. 3 examples are available in white, 2 in orange. Signed with embossed Herman Miller logo, and a production stamp of October 1973. SOLD |
